Clanton Muffler will be closing at the end of 2016.
Really gonna miss this business. Undeniably THE best exhaust shop in North Alabama. I have friends that have brought their projects up from as far away as Birmingham to have Robert build exhaust for them. Robert was one of our sponsors of Rocket City Rock Crawler's King of the Hill competitions and I know a good many members who have had work done in his shop. So, if you need work done, better get it together and to Madison before those bay doors close for the last time. You have less than a month. From Robert: "I'd like to take a minute to thank my long time customers and friends who have supported me and my business, after 38 years of owning Clanton muffler I am retiring at the end of December, I'm looking forward to a new chapter in my life, the shop will close and my property I'm madison is for sale , I can't think of turning the shop over to anyone to keep it going, Dad and I worked all these years building it's reputation and it's good name . Thanks again , Robert Clanton."

Everything I have had him do was top-notch. He's a good guy. He is part owner of mountain land not far from KC40.

I've been using Clanton for the past 20 years. Sorry to hear of this. By far, Robert was one of the most honest and fairest people I ever knew.
He will be sorely missed. I remember when he used to have that little shop near the RR tracks before he expanded and moved across the street to where he is now. A true man of his word. I wish him all the best in his retirement..
