BlueRibbon Coalition has hit the ground running in 2012, and it's time to update you on a few things that are going on.

In spite of a 20 year track record of successfully providing funding for trails, the Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is in very deep trouble. The U.S. Senate has approved transportation legislation that will effectively strip the RTP of its dedicated funding.  Learn how with just a phone call, you can take part in a HUGE nationwide grassroots effort by all recreation enthusiasts to stop this tragedy and save the funding for our trails at:  www.sharetrails.org/public-lands/save-rtp.

The "Spotted Owl of the Prairie?"  Brian calls it the Sage Grouch! Don't be caught unaware of how the Sage Grouse is the next big push to close off huge swaths of public lands. Learn about this gargantuan, multi-million dollar planning effort by the Forest Service and BLM at: www.sharetrails.org/sagegrouse-planning.

The latest intelligence has the US Forest Service releasing their New Forest Planning Rule as early as this week. This will have a far-reaching affect on recreation and planning for decades to come.  See what your BlueRibbon Coalition has been doing about this. Follow along with these and many other issues that matter to you as an enthusiast at www.sharetrails.org.

While you are there, check out the AWESOME MEMBERSHIP DEAL!  Renew your membership and help us get your friends to join our efforts. The membership of BRC drives our success, and we need you to help us grow!  www.sharetrails.org/rmatvmc
