Some say this video is why he left Auburn.  I enjoyed seeing someone associated with college football actually say what they really think instead of the usual BS.

So Gus quit AU football because his wife is goofyern a a sack of rats?  I thought he was moving up to becoming a head coach, I mean that's the usual progression, isnt it?  Successful sub-program coaches try to migrate to head coach jobs?  Like Will Muschamp?  He's not doing so well at Fl, but I guess it can take some time to rebuild a program.

I also heard one or both of the UA defensive and offensive coordinators may be doing same thing.  Any truth to this?

I heard he took an $800k/yr cut to go to Arkasas State.  Didn't Vandy and NC try to hire him last year for $2m/yr?  Timing is everything. Smile

The video link works for me.

Is he not getting along w/ Chizik?

I guess I'll have to pass on that video.  Noscript says there are something like 10 different sites serving scripts off that one page, and that sets off my "I dont trust this site" alarm inside my head.

Surely the UA coaches in question would not leave before the BCS championship game!!?!

IMO, if he had any class or give one hoot about finishing his job at Bama, he would have accepted the new job AFTER the BCS Champinionship Game.  Nope, he is focused on building his staff and player recruiting at his new school.  He is likely spending more time picking out window blinds for his new house than working on the offensive game plan for the BCS game.

That would be a good one if needed an excuse.  But that won't be the case on 9 Jan; that game is money in the bank.

LSU is probably my second favorite college football team.  I can understand their depression over finishing the season undefeated (13-0), winning the SEC Championship Game, beating Bama in Tuscaloosa, looking forward to beating the crap out an overrated OSU to win the national championship and now having to replay a team that beat them in every way except field goal kicking with everything on the line for them and Bama having nothing to lose.  If the situation was reversed, I wouldn’t like it either, it doesn’t seem quite fair for Bama to get another bite at the apple, but that’s the way the current BCS system works.

so you're worried about bama's offensive coordinator phoning his job in during the national championship game?

I'm pretty sure he's been phoning it in for a while now which is the reason he had to go.

If UAT plays the way they played the first half against Tn, or the first half against some other teams, the money may be elsewhere.  UAT hasnt played any strong teams all season except LSU and Arkansas, and had severe difficulty with both.  Arguably, LSUs worst game all season was against UAT,

You are right, though, the BCS is dorked up.  We need a "egregious eight" or "fantastic four" or some kind of playoff instead of what we currently have.
