Sounds like a good bill. My wife had a Toyota Sienna that had some problem with the low tire pressure warning light. That thing came on all the time, completely independent of what the air pressure in the tires actually was. The stealership just said, "Oh, just hit the 'reset' button." All this did was temporarily solve the symptom; not the problem. There were other problems with it. We finally got rid of that awful thing. One damn problem after another... By the way, the automatic doors on the newer minivans are garbage. All of them. It doesn't matter who they're built by.

I had a 2000 GMC Sierra with the same "gas cap off" problem. After many trips to the dealer, they finally checked the sensor and found it was bad. It kept sending a constant voltage to the computer because it was stuck.

Once the sensor was replaced, no more problems.

I've never been charged for an engine light check. Heck, they even gave me a free rental to drive around town while they were checking/repairing. I love small town dealerships!
