yea, pardon me if I'm not excited.

Not only are we screwed buying stuff in Huntsville now with the higher sales tax, but it is about to make my life miserable. Work on 72 E and Winchester road both at the same time. I asked the DOT engineers what their plans were for detours when we had the public meetings. They responded there is none, they expect the drivers to stay on the roads while they are being worked on.... yea right. Already Jordan Road is the default bypass when there is a wreck on 72 or Winchester, I can tell it every morning when I try to leave the house and I can't pull out of the subdivision. Top it off Jordan (and probably Maysville road) will both become bypasses and they already aren't built for the level of traffic they currently run. My mornings and evenings are about to get screwed.

Yep. And the way the state builds roads nowadays, they will drag a 12 month road project out for 3 or 4 years due to annual funding limits.
