Hey, my name is Andrew Saik and I came to the October meeting.  I asked about volunteering with the grey rock event on 21 OCT. but haven't recieved any info on it yet.  Is it still open for volunteer spots?  I figured it would be a good chance to get to know some of the RCRC members!  By the way, thanks for the very warmhearted welcome at the last meeting!  Can't wait to hit the trails with 'yall.

Andrew,

I'm Jake, the guy who took down your information.  The folks with CAOS have your information and should be getting something mailed to you.  You are in the same boat as the rest of us as we haven't gotten T-shirts or instructions yet either.  I'll let you know if and when I know something.  Do you know when you'll be able to help this weekend yet?  You planning on going down for the whole weekend ... camping etc.?

And welcome, we're always happy to see new folks.  Especially those who volunteer at their first meeting!!!

Sounds good Jake!  I should be up for going anytime Friday and Saturday.  Camping sounds great.  Didn't know if you guys had plans for that as a group yet or not.  Could you direct me to the thread on the event?  Thanks!

We have one in the private, members section that only club members can access.  Not that it is a secret or anything - that is just where it ended up.  No worries - you are certainly welcome.  There are some members going down Friday Morning and camping Friday and Saturday night.  There will be RCRC folks there both nights if you want to camp with them - that shouldn't be a problem.

I recieved a letter from the lady in charge yesterday about volunteering.  I'll contact her today and iron out when I can work.  I have work on Friday and Saturday morning.  (whoo watching a concrete placement!)  But, I'll hopefully be able to work on Saturday afternoon/evening.  Should be an interesting weekend with all this rain we've been having!

If things don't work out, then there's always the Telico run the next weekend.

No problem, it was my pleasure!  This was probably the largest offroad "gathering" that I've been to.  I'll see you guys at the meeting this Thursday.
