I have a new windshield for my Jeep. It is a Plexiglass windshield from Speedglass.
I also have the installation kit. Does anyone in the club have enough experience to tackle the project or does anyone know someone who would do it. I am having trouble with the local winshield repair companies on installing stuff they did not sell to me.
Thanks
Kerry

Is it a rubber seal or does it urethane in ? If it's the rubber seal, it's easy.  I've done them numerous times on the first gen toyotas windsheilds and sliding glass rear windows. All you need is two people and a piece of rope. I wouldn't care to stop by and help you with it.
TOYOTA FOUR WHEEL DRIVE................need I say more?

The entire windshield installation on a TJ is done entirely on the outside with no need to remove any trim.  Start by removing the exterior molding, usually you can grab it at the seem and start pulling.  After that there is a special tool that will make cutting the glass free of the urethane incredibly easy.  I forget the name of the tool, but it will make the job go from two hours to ten minutes.  After that you clean up the old gunk before reinstalling the new windshield.

I have an old intact windshield just laying around from this experience.  :D

My paint guy knows someone who does windows. I didn't actually have my windows pulled when I had my car painted, but I can get the guys info if you are interested.
