Is the stock gauge very accurate for a 22RE? Mine tends to go to the same position and stay there. I'm thinking I'd like to try an after market gauge that shows me the actual temperature in degrees. Any suggestions? |

Stock one is pretty good on my trucks. Usually 1/4 or 1/3 is normal, if it goes to 1/2 or more you're too hot. Ran with the stocker and an aftermarket one too forever, they always agreed.
I have an extra aftermarket gauge you can have. Just swapped it for one with an electric sending unit.

Thanks for the offer. I read the post on YotaTech about tightening the screws on the PCB behind the gauge cluster (grounding issue). Think I'll give that a shot to see if it makes any difference. I'll get back to you on the aftermarket...need to research a bit.
