Sounds good. We have had several groups call and say they are going to be there. We also have some new stuff for the stock and milder built rigs to do, with a lot more to come in the near future.

I have really been wanting to check this park out but haven't found anyone willing to go with me and I won't wheel alone or take the chance of driving all the way there and not finding someone willing to partner up.  I watch a lot of the youtube videos you have posted and really wondered just how much there was to offer a semi-stock (33" or less) rig.

I'd really like to come check this out.  Anybody need any xterra parts? LOL

not sure how, but I kill my own reply. We do have a lot of stuff that 33's can climb and play around on and we are currently working on even more. Alot of our stuff is large rock formations that require traction over clearance. Most of the videos we shoot are of the big guys who love to drive wild and test their stuff to the limits. Lets face it, thats what people want to see. Even though I have a tube buggy, you don't see mine going skyward with the rev limiter popping. I like the slow techincal tire placement kinda wheeling, but to watch me drive will put you to sleep. And as far as not having any one to wheel with, every time we are open one of us has our rig at the park and most of the times several of our buddies are there with smaller tires. Any time you want to ride at our place, dont let riding by your self stop you. If you break or get stuck we will help you out. Nobody has every been left broke down or hung up at our place.

I'm definitely coming back down for this one.  I need a rematch on a couple of obstacles that handed me my ass yesterday.  Not sure if you were one of the guys that helped me out but I was the one with the silver xterra that folded both tie-rod adjusters. Angry

Good news is, I've got my beefed up Calmini's in now so I'm ready to do it right this time!

BTW... thanks for letting me borrow that hi-lift jack handle if that was you. Big%20smile

Depending on the weather, I think we are going down for this.  Cole said that he, Ernie and some of their buddies are going.

I'm hearing that some of the guy's are wanting to set up a big tire class in the rock race and charge an entry fee with a payout.  I'm good with that. Everybody that wants to be in a big tire class with payout (38" and up) will need to sign in and pay their fee. I will then return 100 percent entry fee back to the winner. Or if majority rules on a split payout between first, second and third place we can do that as well. Just be thinking about it and lets get together on it before the race on Saturday.

I think we will have a trailor to pull behind a rhino so we could haul ten people or so at a time up to the rock race.

Okay, some of you have called and asked about the rain. In the past when it rains during the week up to friday like it will do this week, most obstacles are wet on Saturday moring adding to the challenge. Due to our location and soil type the wetness will typically dry up by mid day. Also with the rocks at our place being mostly massive slabs covering such a large area, runoff accures rapidly. Good news. No dust this weekend and you get to try obstacles both wet and dry.

It should. The rock races takes about three minutes per vehicle.

You should allow some time for break downs and recovery of vehicles from the course.  How many competitors do you expect?

Thanks to EVERYONE who showed up in the rainy wet cold weather. We had a great weekend and a great turn out. I wish it would have stayed dry so the traction would have been better, but from all those that I spoke with it was a lot of fun even wet. We had more roof rides this past weekend than I have ever saw at the park, but no one had any major enjuries. Bumps and bruises and some sheet metal damage.
The Rock Races could have turned out better, but with limited traction and falling tempatures a lot of the guys backed out. The guys and gals who did race put on a good show. Next race will be on flat gound over various obstalces with different division including one I got asked about several times this past weekend, GIRLS ONLY! We will be working throughout the winter months cutting new stuff for stock and mildly built class rigs as well as more flat parking for longer trailers and campers. Thanks again for your support and friendship.

Bob,

Me, wife and the dog had a great time down there Saturday.  I plan on coming back when it's drier and bringing the Jeep instead of the Camry. Smile

I've got some video of the rock race (including Scott's roof ride) that I should get uploaded this evening if I can get my computer problems worked out.
