Hey yall, im currently going to school at UAH and have limited funding but i need a good woods truck that could be upgraded latter. I fould a 87 that has some serious need for work, but it has a new motor and the trany seems to be in good condition. What should i be looking for problem wise befor i buy? And what kind of money will i need to get it in a worthy reliable condition?

Yes an '87 4runner will be a great first rig.
As for your other questions, it just depends on what all it needs as to what it will cost. If it has a new motor, and the tranny's in good shape then it shouldn't need too much. If you wanted to bring it by, I'd be glad to check it out and give you some ideas and suggestions. |

Sure you didn't buy a Jeep?
![]() Congrats man, these Toyota guys will probably be able to help you out with diagnostics. May not be until Sunday as most of our members will be tied up with this tomorrow. Come on out! Only happens once a year. |
