Wreck at Dan Tibbs this morning...

   I'm posting this as a prayer request for the Stover family.  I didn't know them but as Ryan and I saw (and many others I'm sure) it was a pretty bad wreck.  Please keep these folks in your prayers...

Here's the e-mail I got pertaining to the accident.

I have a prayer request for a co-worker of mine along with his family. His name
is Paul Stover and his wife's name is Gina.

This morning his middle daughter Whitney, who was 16,  was involved in a
fatal car accident at Dan Tibbs Road and Research park drive.  She
initially survived the accident and called her parents.  She was pinned
in the car and could not get out.  About the time her parents arrived,
the engine caught fire and while the parents watched, their daughter was
engulfed in flames and was burned to death.  It is about as horrific a
scenario as anyone could ever imagine.  I passed the accident scene on
the way to work, not knowing who was involved and it was unbelievable.
It appears a flat bed cargo truck ran a stop sign trying to get across
research park drive.

Their family are very strong Christians and Whitney was saved.

	What is sickening about that is some idiot felt compelled to blast a stop sign to avoid traffic. At that time of day southbound traffic can be a nightmare. If you REALLY need to cross quickly, drop down to Plummer and use the underpass. My daughter was t-boned at Blake Bottom last year (her fault), and it just doesn't make sense to have only stop signs there. Traffic lights would be a lower cost alternative to doing overpasses like proposed, but still save lives. As a parent and a human, I don't know how I'd handle seeing my child burn alive trapped in a vehicle while I stood by, unable to do anything. My family's prayers are with the Stovers during this time. I'm sure they have a strong faith, but that doesn't make the hurt any less.

	Very sad, I wish I had left for work earlier and maybe I could have helped some how.

	Very sad news to say the least. Does anyone on here know the family directly? I have a friend who is Holiness who attended church with them.
