ClapSome of you may or may not be aware of the firestorm set off by the government last week.  A few days ago the government announced that it was going to force Government Liquidation to shred all spent military brass casings instead of selling them to industrial reloaders such as Georgia Arms who then sell the remanufactured ammo to police and the public.

With ammo already being hard to come by lately, this would have put a serious dent in an already extremely scarce supply.

Thousands of letters and phone calls were made by concerned citizens pointing out the absolute stupidity of a policy that calls for "20 dollars to be spent making $1 worth of brass worth $.10".  As of yesterday, the DOD rescinded the policy and brass casing will no longer have to be mutilated for scrap instead of being sold to reloading facilities.

Just food for thought when you are contemplating not writing a letter or making a phone call.

On that last note - have all of you written your additional Tellico letters since the meeting?

I saw that one coming!   LOL

P.S. I wrote another letter the day before yesterday.  I stole a cheat sheet from Doc at our last meeting; it's been real useful.
